Natural limestone sink holes in the area create an interesting topography which can be explored along hiking/biking trails through the campground and surrounding area. Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes: Atlanta ATV Trail (1 mile South): 82 miles of cycle/ATV trail.
Brush Creek Route (11 miles South): 35 miles of full-sized vehicle ORV route.
Designated Watchable Wildlife Site: Tomahawk Creek Flooding provides excellent viewing of nesting loons in June; ospreys, bald eagles, and other wetlands birds and wildlife (1 miles South).
Fishing: Shoepac Lake (on site): Bass, Panfish, and Trout.
Tomahawk Lake (1 mile South): Perch, Bass, and Bluegill.
Tomahawk Creek Flooding (1.5 miles South): Bass, Bluegill, and Pike.
Hiking: Sinkhole (on site): 2.5 miles of flat to rolling terrain through the interesting carst topography of the areas natural limestone sink holes.
High Country (on site): Over 80 miles of varied terrain connecting 9 State Forest campgrounds winding through scenic back country.
